Saudi Arabia bans Egyptian guava imports

Riyadh - Mubasher: The Saudi ministry of environment, water, and agriculture alongside the Saudi Food and Drug Authority (SFDA) have temporarily banned importing fresh guava fruits from Egypt.

The ministry said in a statement on Tuesday that the ban is due to contamination with pesticide residues by a percentage that exceeded the limits, according to global standards, according to the undersecretary for livestock Affairs, Hamad Al-Batshan.
