Saudi Arabia bans corn, grape exports

Riyadh - Mubasher: Saudi Arabia has added four more crops to the list of banned exports.

The crops are olive, corn, pumpkin, and grapes, and the ban will be effective starting from November, as reported by Aleqtisadiah newspaper.

This raises the total number of crops that are banned from being exported from Saudi Arabia to other countries to nine, including watermelon, melons, potatoes, dried onion, and tomatoes.

The aim is to conserve water supplies, and limit these products to local consumption.
