Riyadh – Mubasher: The Saudi Ministry of Energy, Industry and Mineral Resources denied on Monday that the kingdom would make any changes to its policy concerning trading oil in US dollars, the Saudi News Agency (SPA) reported.
Selling oil in dollars has served the kingdom’s financial and monetary objectives for decades, the ministry added.
Earlier, it was reported by Reuters that Saudi Arabia was threatening to trade its oil in currencies other than the dollar if the US passed a bill exposing members of the Organization of Petroleum Exporting Countries (OPEC) to US antitrust lawsuits.
