Riyadh - Mubasher: Saudi Arabia is exploring cooperation opportunities with Russia’s Sistema Investment Group in several priority sectors targeted under the Kingdom’s National Industrial Strategy.
The initiative was discussed during a meeting between Minister of Industry and Mineral Resources Bandar bin Ibrahim Al Khorayef and the group’s chairman and leaders in St. Petersburg, Russia, according to Saudi News Agency (SPA).
The discussions covered technology localization opportunities and potential cooperation in industrial cities to strengthen industrial capabilities and supply chains.
Al Khorayef also visited Russia’s Karpinsky Geological Institute to review mineral exploration technologies and discuss cooperation in geological mapping, knowledge exchange, and mining expertise.
The visit aimed to support the development of Saudi Arabia’s mining sector through scientific collaboration and the transfer of advanced geological knowledge.
The meeting and field visit form part of the Ministry of Industry and Mineral Resources’ efforts to expand international partnerships, attract high-quality investments, and transfer advanced expertise.
It is worth noting that Saudi Arabia joined St. Petersburg International Economic Forum (SPIEF) in Russia as a guest of honor.
