Riyadh – Mubasher: The Saudi government has awarded Britain’s Airedale International Air Conditioning a SAR 4.73 million ($1.26 million) contract to supply air-conditioning systems for the under-construction Riyadh Metro.
With estimated cost of SAR 86.3 billion, the 176 kilometres Riyadh Metro’s 85 stations are distributed across six colour-coded lines.
Sections of the mega project are slated for soft launch in 2018.
Last year, the Riyadh Development Authority (RDA) announced that eight major companies and banks won a tender for naming rights of a number of Riyadh Metro stations.
