Saudi Arabia launches two satellites to boost aerial surveys

Riyadh – Mubasher: State-backed King Abdulaziz City for Science and Technology (KACST) has announced the completion of developing and manufacturing two satellites for aerial surveying purposes.

The two satellites will be named “Saudi SAT 5A” and “Saudi SAT 5B”, according to KACST’s statement.

The project is part of Saudi Arabia’s King Salman Salman bin Abdulaziz's and Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman's efforts to boost the kingdom’s applied scientific research and development.

The launch of ‘Saudi SAT 5A’ and ‘Saudi SAT 5B’ will contribute to achieving Saudi Vision 2030 that aims to nationalise the technology industry in the GCC nation.
