Saudi Arabia lifts ban on Egyptian guava imports

Riyadh – Mubasher: The Saudi Food and Drug Authority (SFDA) on Tuesday has lifted the temporary ban on Egyptian imports of frozen guava to Saudi Arabia.

The kingdom will only import Egyptian guava from certified authorities at the SFDA, according to a statement by the Saudi state-run entity.

In December 2017, Saudi Arabia had temporarily banned importing frozen guava fruits from Egypt, claiming it was contaminated with pesticide residues that exceeded global standards.
