Saudi Arabia names new transport minister

The Saudi Arabian government has appointed Nabeel Al Amudi as its transport minister, state TV reported on Wednesday, citing a royal decree.

Currently the head of the Saudi Ports Authority, Al Amudi comes to replace Sulaiman Al Hamdan, who has been named the minister for civil service, according to Reuters.

“Prior to being the president of the Saudi Ports Authority, Amudi held various posts at state oil giant Saudi Aramco,” the news agency added.
