Saudi Arabia owns 5% of global uranium reserves

Riyadh - Mubasher: Saudi Arabia is willing to mine and enrich uranium solely for civilian use, as stressed by the Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman in an interview with 60 Minutes, a famous program that airs on CBS.

“Saudi Arabia does not want to acquire any nuclear bomb, but without a doubt if Iran developed a nuclear bomb, we will follow suit as soon as possible,” said the Crown Prince, as quoted by the Washington Post.

Saudi Arabia has around 5% of the world’s uranium reserves, according to bin Salman, who stressed to the American paper that not using these huge reserves will be like not using the oil resources.
