Saudi Arabia provided $13bn for Yemen in 4 yrs

Riyadh - Mubasher: The Saudi Minister of Foreign Affairs confirmed that the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia has supported the Central Bank of Yemen and provided direct humanitarian assistance over the past four years with the total amount of $ 13 billion.

Adel Al-Jubeir said during a high-level on the sidelines of the United Nations (UN) general assembly that Saudi Arabia has been responsible for the world for decades and it is one of the largest donors to developing countries and to the United Nations.

More than 100 tons of humanitarian aid have been provided to the Rohingya, and there are more than 300,000 of them are in the kingdom, the minister added.

Al-Jubeir also said that Saudi Arabia has worked to end the longest conflict in Africa between Ethiopia and Eritrea, in which it will contribute to the security and stability of the Red Sea and open the way for trade and investment, stressing the importance of moving to the political stage in Syria to maintain the unity and independence of Syria and the end of foreign militias existence.
