Saudi Arabia reports 17 new coronavirus cases

Riyadh – Mubasher: The Saudi Ministry of Health reported 17 new cases of the novel coronavirus (COVID-19), taking the tally to 62.

The new cases include a Saudi citizen who had contact with an infected person detected earlier, a resident coming from Portugal via Turkey, a Saudi citizen returning from Iran via Oman, a Saudi national returning from Turkey via Lebanon, and two Saudis coming from Iraq, according to a statement on Friday.

In addition, the newly-detected cases also include 11 Egyptians who had contact with an infected case detected before and showed no symptoms for the new virus.

All cases are quarantined and receiving proper medical care, the ministry affirmed
