Saudi Arabia reports zero cases of coronavirus – Minister

Riyadh – Mubasher: Saudi Arabia did not record any cases with the new coronavirus (COVID-19), after 298 suspected cases tested negative for the virus, according to the Saudi health minister Tawfiq Al Rabiah.

“We are closely following all cases, especially those arriving at the kingdom from countries suffering from the outbreak of the virus,” the minister said in a press conference on Monday.

Al Rabiah added that the Ministry of Health is taking all the necessary precautions against the virus.

Saudi Arabia recently announced that it will temporarily suspend travel to the holy cities of Makkah and Medina for umrah, as well as the entry of tourist visa holders coming from countries endangered by the novel virus.

Last month, the Saudi kingdom suspended all travel with China for Saudi citizens and other residents in the kingdom.

Saudi Arabia recently announced that all travellers to the Kingdom are required to disclose whether they have visited China two weeks prior to their arrival.
