Saudi Arabia reshuffles TV news channels’ board to upgrade performance

Riyadh – Mubasher: Saudi-owned television news channels Al Arabiya and Al Hadath have formed a new editorial board in a bid to upgrade their performance and raise standards.

The move will provide the two channels with most experienced specialised humans which will raise their performance, Waleed Al-Ibrahim, MBC’s chairman, stated.

The new board’s chairman will be AbdulRahman Alrashed, in addition to including Faisal J. Abbas, Salman Al-Dossary, Mazen Turki Al-Sudairi, and Ali Hedeithy as members.

The board will give full support to the management of Al Arabiya and Al Hadath “while helping streamline the business, across multi-platforms and touchpoints,” Al-Ibrahim added.

MBC’s chairman further noted that Nabil Khatib was hired to be the new general manager of Al Hadath and Al Arabiya.
