Saudi Arabia's economy up 3% in Q1-26 - GASTAT

Riyadh – Mubasher: Saudi Arabia’s gross domestic product (GDP) increased by 3% year-on-year (YoY) in the first quarter (Q1) of 2026, according to the General Authority for Statistics (GASTAT).

This is supported by growth in both oil and non-oil activities, which expanded by 2.90% each, as well as a 1.50% increase in government activities.

Non-oil activities were the largest contributor to annual real GDP growth at the end of March 2026, adding 1.7 percentage points.

The oil activities contributed 0.8 percentage points, while government activities and net taxes on products contributed 0.3 and 0.2 percentage points, respectively.

In 2025, the Saudi GDP reached $1.31 trillion, while non-oil activities accounted for 55% of the economy.
