Riyadh - Mubasher: Inflation rates in Saudi Arabia has declined to 2.6% in October compared to 3% in September, as shown by the data of the Saudi general authority for statistics.
In October 2016, the cost of living index decreased to 137.8 points compared to 137.9 points in September 2016, and 134.3 points in October 2015.
All the index sections saw an increase compared to last year, except for food and beverages, restaurants and hotels, and recreation and culture, which fell by 2.1%, 1.3%, and 0.9% respectively.
Tobacco registered the highest raise with 20.5%, followed by transport with 7.3%, housing, water, electricity, gas, and other fuels with 6.5%, and health with 6%.
