Riyadh – Mubasher: Saudi Arabia’s crude oil prouction amounted to 10.24 million barrels per day (bpd) in January, two sources at the Organisation of the Petroleum Exporting Countries (OPEC) said on Thursday.
This move comes as a part of the kingdom’s plan to reduce oil production in a bid to strike a balance in the market and support prices, the sources told Reuters.
In December 2018, Saudi Arabia, OPEC and non-OPEC members including Russia, approved to trim crude oil supply by 1.2 million bpd, starting from 1 January 2019.
