Riyadh – Mubasher: The trade surplus of Saudi Arabia declined during the first half of 2019 affected by the volume of trade during June.
The kingdom’s trade surplus retreated by 6.1% to SAR 251.49 billion in H1-19, compared to SAR 267.93 billion in H1-18, according to Mubasher statistics.
In June, the trade surplus of the GCC nation fell by 31.9% year-on-year.
The country’s total trade volume decreased by 4.15% to SAR 751.43 billion during the first six months of 2019, from SAR 783.94 billion in the corresponding period of 2018.
As for Saudi oil exports, they levelled down by 3.96% year-on-year to SAR 391.83 billion in H1-19.
On a yearly basis, the country’s total exports went down by 4.65% to SAR 501.5 billion during the six-month period ended June, while imports plunged by 3.1% to SAR 249.97 billion over the same period.
