Riyadh - Mubasher: Saudi Arabia imported nearly 1.90 million vehicles during 2024 and 2025, with China emerging as the Kingdom’s largest vehicle supplier.
Vehicle imports reached around 959,403 units in 2025, compared to 942,118 units in 2024, according to data from the Saudi Zakat, Tax, and Customs Authority (ZATCA) data.
The report also showed that China ranked first among countries exporting vehicles to Saudi Arabia during the past two years.
Japan came second, followed by India, Thailand, and South Korea, while the US ranked sixth, indicating a decline in the share of American vehicles in the Saudi market.
The growth in imports comes as the Kingdom continues efforts to strengthen its domestic automotive supply chain and reduce reliance on imported vehicles.
Saudi Arabia remains one of the world’s largest automotive markets, ranking among the top 20 globally.
A government report also noted that the GCC countries account for more than half of the Kingdom’s vehicle sales.
