Riyadh-Mubasher: Saudi Railway Organization (SRO) plans to launch a new 300 km/hour train linking Riyadh to Dammam, with the same specifications of Haramain train, SRO President told Saudi Al-Sharq newspaper.
Mohamed Al-Suwaiket said the current train runs between the two cities at a speed of 140 km per hour.
He added that the organisation has a strategy to expand its railway by 2040.
“We hope to transport all commodities such as oil and gas through our trains,” Al-Suwaiket said.
