Saudi Arabia to provide health insurance to all nationals in 5 yrs

Riyadh – Mubasher: Saudi Arabia will offer a full medical insurance coverage with free healthcare services to all nationals within five years, health minister Tawfiq Al-Rabiah said.

“A specialised national insurance centre will offer insurance policies to all nationals,” Al-Rabiah told Rotana Khalijia TV channel.

He added that hospitals, health centres, and other specialist facilities will be converted into 20 integrated medical complexes across the Kingdom, each serving nearly one million citizens.

The step is part of the Saudi Vision 2030, which aims at achieving a qualitative shift in health services to raise peoples’ average lifespan to 80 years from 74 years.
