Riyadh - Mubasher: Saudi Arabia has signed a preliminary deal to buy 48 fighter jets from the UK, manufactured by BAE Systems.
The deal has been under discussion for many years, and it was finally signed officially during the visit of the the Saudi Crown Prince Mohamed Bin Salman to London.
“This is a positive step towards agreeing a contract for our valued partner,” the british company said in a statement.
“We are committed to supporting the Kingdom as it modernises the Saudi armed forces and develops key industrial capabilities critical to the delivery of Vision 2030,” BAE added.
