Saudi Aramco able to produce 12m bpd – CEO

Riyadh – Mubasher: State-run Saudi Aramco has the ability to produce around 12 million barrels per day (bpd), CEO Amin Nasser has said on Monday.

The world's largest oil exporter is currently producing 10 million bpd, and it will add further 2 million bpd in a bid to cover the required demand in case any interruption in supplies, Naaser told Reuters.

Led by Saudi Arabia, the Organization of the Petroleum Exporting Countries (OPEC) on Friday, 22 June had approved increasing oil output as of July, following calls from major consumers, topped by the US and China, to curb rising fuel costs.

It is worth noting that Nasser is taking part in Global Value Chains (GVCs), which takes place in India, stressing the kingdom’s keenness to be present in the next edition of the event.
