Saudi Aramco deal with Egypt not cancelled

Cairo - Mubasher: Saudi Aramco’s recent suspension of oil shipments to Egypt doesn’t mean the agreement between ARAMCO and the Egyptian General Petroleum Corporation (EGPC) has been cancelled, according to the Egyptian Cabinet’s Information Decision Support Center (IDSC).

Earlier, the Egyptian ministry of Petroleum's official spokesman Hamdy Abd Elaziz told Mubasher that Saudi Aramco has verbally told EGPC of the suspension to the agreed oil shipments for October.

During the Saudi King visit to Egypt, Saudi Aramco signed a $23 billion agreement with EGPC to supply Egypt with 700,000 tonnes of petroleum products every month for five years.
