Riyadh – Mubasher: Saudi Aramco signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with six local and international agencies to establish the “National Academy of Energy”, an ambitious initiative to keep pace with world-class levels of training, and serve both public and private sectors.
The MoU combines Saudi Aramco, Technical and Vocational Training Corporation (TVTC), Saline Water Conversion Corporation, King Fahd University of Petroleum and Minerals, Saudi Electricity Company, General Electric and Siemens.
The academy will provide specialised training programs in the fields of electricity, precision machining, mechanics, renewable energy, nuclear energy, energy efficiency, operating and manufacturing.
Aramco agreed with the six firms that the academy will be an unprofitable and separate legal entity.
