Mubasher: Saudi Aramco has signed two agreements with Royal Commission for Jubail and Yanbu to build two industrial projects in Ras Al Khair Industrial City, according to a recent statement.

Aramco noted that the drilling and related equipment facility will be built across an 500,000 square metres area in Al Khair City.

Meanwhile, “The casting and forging unit, which will serve the maritime industry and the manufacturing of equipment related to the oil and gas supply chain, is being set up over an area of 300,000 square metres.”

Aramco’s manager of the Maritime Yard Department Fathi Al-Saleem clarified that the Saudi oil producer launched its IKTVA programme in December 2015, aiming to double the percentage of locally-produced energy-related goods and services to 70% by 2021, while exports are forecast to increase by 30% of the total domestic energy goods and services produced locally.
