Riyadh – Mubasher: The oil and gas sector will continue to play a key long-term role in the global energy mixture, said Amin Al Nasser, President and CEO of Saudi Aramco, adding “However, we admit a necessity to manage emissions.”
Technology is a main element in solving the climate change problems, as technological advancement in fields like carbon extraction and storage allows Saudi Aramco to fight the global climate change issues while continuing a commitment towards fulfilling the growing demand for energy worldwide, explained Al Nasser.
The CEO also said his company is playing a ‘pivotal’ role in the initiative of oil and gas firms as regards the climate, noting that the initiative focuses on carbon emissions control using advanced technological solutions.
