Riyadh - Mubasher: Saudi Aramco is close to awarding a contract to Spanish engineering group Tecnicas Reunidas (TR), Reuters reported on Tuesday.
Industry sources told the news agency that the Spanish company has received a letter of intent from Aramco.
TR offered the lowest bid, estimated at around $2.3 to 2.4 billion, to build the gas compressor stations that will help boost gas supplies from Haradh and Hawiyah.
The contract is expected to be signed in upcoming weeks, according to Reuters.
