Riyadh – Mubasher: Saudi Aramco is expected to issue US dollar-dominated bonds in the second quarter of 2019, the kingdom’s energy minister Khalid al-Falih said on Wednesday during a news conference.
Al-Falih denied any links between the planned bonds and Aramco’s plan to acquire a major stake in the Saudi Basic Industries Corporation (SABIC), Reuters reported.
“With or without the SABIC transaction, a company the size of Aramco - its capital program and its capital spend is going to be from $40 to $50 billion a year – it is very prudent they have access to the capital market,” the minister stated.
As for the listing of oil giant, al-Falih noted that it would take place by 2021
