Riyadh-Mubasher: Saudi Cement Co. aims to absorb all additional costs which are expected to reach SAR 68 million, Makkah newspaper reported, citing CEO Mohammed Al-Qarni.
He added that the costs will weigh on 6-5% of earnings.
The companies had launched production efficiency programmes in 2012 to avoid any rise in operating costs, Al-Qarni said.
He added that the cement firms have been committed to the decision of fixing the cement price at SAR 250 per tonne and the bag at SAR 12 since 1983.
The firm posted a 33% decline in Q4-15 net profits to SAR 180 million, compared with SAR 268 million in the same period a year ago.
