Saudi Electricity cuts 50% of diesel fuel consumption

Riyadh – Mubasher: Saudi Electricity Company on Tuesday revealed that it succeeded in reducing diesel fuel consumption by around 50% in a year.

The electricity company consumption of diesel fuel declined to 26 million barrels by the end of the third quarter of 2017, compared to 50 million barrels in the year-ago period, according to a company statement.

The Saudi company stated that it cut also fuel equivalent consumption by 4% year-on-year in Q3-17.

The company announced that it will launch the first clean energy forum in Jeddah on 29 November under the title “Clean Energy and Fuel additive”.
