Riyadh – Mubasher: The Saudi Export Development Authority (Saudi Exports) will be launching the “Made in Saudi Arabia” programme by the first quarter (Q1) of 2021, in collaboration with partners, state-run Saudi Press Agency (SPA) said on Tuesday.
The programme will be introduced as per a defined vision to support the national product and activate its role in growing the non-oil gross domestic product (GDP).
This comes in light of Saudi Exports’ role to realise the goals of the Vision 2030 aimed at diversifying income sources.
The “Made in Saudi Arabia” programme is one of the initiatives of the National Industrial Development and Logistics Program, which aims at transforming the kingdom into a leading industrial power and an international logistics platform.
The national programme will further boost investments in the GCC nation’s industrial sector, enabling the Saudi product to compete locally, regionally, and internationally, while helping increase Saudi non-oil exports from 16% to 50% of non-oil GDP by 2030.
