Riyadh – Mubasher: Bilateral trade between Saudi Arabia and France amounted to SAR 205 billion ($54.67 billion) starting from 2013 until 2017, recent Saudi figures have showed.
Over the last five years, Saudi exports to France hit SAR 105 billion ($28 billion), while the kingdom's imports from the European nation stood at SAR 100 billion ($26.67 billion), the Saudi General Authority for Statistics (GASTAT) said on Tuesday.
Mineral fuel, oil, and wax topped Saudi exports to France in 2017 with a combined value of SAR 10.71 billion ($2.86 billion), followed by aluminum products with SAR 203 million ($5.41 million).
On the other hand, vehicles led French exports to the GCC nation in 2017 with SAR 2.91 billion ($776 million), followed by electrical devices, equipment, and their spare parts with SAR 2.03 billion ($541 million).
On a side note, Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman started an official visit to France on Sunday, 8 April.
