Riyadh – Mubasher: The Saudi gross domestic product (GDP) in constant prices inched down 0.4% year-on-year during the third quarter of 2017, said the General Authority for Statistics (GASTAT).
The Kingdom’s GDP in constant prices hit SAR 637.34 billion in Q3-17, compared to SAR 640.07 billion in Q3-16, the GASTAT added.
The Saudi GDP in current prices levelled up 5.8%, reaching SAR 639.98 billion in Q3-17, compared to SAR 605.08 billion in the year-ago period.
The Kingdom’s GDP in oil sector in current prices jumped 10.1% to SAR 175.51 billion in Q3-17, from SAR 159.46 billion in the same period in the year earlier.
The Saudi GDP in oil sector in constant prices went down 4.1% to SAR 279.67 billion during Q3-17, compared to SAR 291.53 billion in Q3-16.
The governmental sector’s GDP in current prices increased 8.2%, while it rose 2.98% in constant prices.
The Saudi private sector’s GDP grew 1.8% for each in current and constant prices during Q3-17.
