Cairo – Mubasher: The number of factories operating in Saudi Arabia amounts to 7,000 plants with investments worth SAR 1.1 trillion, Saleh Al Selmy, the undersecretary of the Saudi Ministry of Commerce and Industry, said.
During his speech in the Saudi-Egyptian Business Opportunities Forum on Saturday, Al Selmy added that total sales of Saudi’s industrial sector reached SAR 630 billion a year, explaining that the sector constitutes 12% of the kingdom’s gross domestic product (GDP) with an anuual rise of 6%.
Egypt and Saudi Arabia signed on Friday 17 agreements on the side lines of the King Salman bin Abdul Aziz Al Saud.
