Riyadh – Mubasher: Saudi Arabia's cash liquidity -M3 money supply- hit an all-time high in the third quarter (Q3) of 2020.
The kingdom’s cash liquidity reached SAR 2.088 trillion during the three-month period ended in September, surpassing May’s historic level of SAR 2.075 trillion, according to data collected by Mubasher based on figures from the Saudi Arabian Monetary Authority (SAMA).
On a yearly basis, cash liquidity rose by 10.6% or SAR 200.56 billion in Q3-20 from SAR 1.887 trillion in Q3-19.
On a quarterly basis, it increased by SAR 1.78% or SAR 34.45 billion when compared to the previous three-month period.
During the first nine months of 2020, the GCC nation’s cash liquidity hiked by 5.2% or SAR 102.87 billion.
It recorded SAR 2.075 trillion in August 2020 and SAR 1.985 trillion at the end of 2019.
