Riyadh – Mubasher: Ministry of Environment, Water, and Agriculture (MEWA) of Saudi Arabia signed three contracts of consulting studies with international consulting companies at a value of SAR 119 million to develop the water sector in the Kingdom.
The first study aims to improve quality of drinking water in Saudi Arabia, starting from the Eastern Province, according to MEWA’s statement on Wednesday.
The second study will be allocated for preparing the strategic plan for water and sewage services in the Kingdom, while the third study aims to prepare the initial studies and designs for constructing 600 dams as a first phase of 1000-dam initiative.
