Saudi MEWA launches SAR 1.2bn water, agriculture projects

Riyadh – Mubasher: The Saudi Ministry of Environment, Water, and Agriculture (MEWA) on Sunday has launched more than 49 water and agricultural projects in the Eastern Province at a combined value of SAR 1.2 billion, minister Abdulrahman Al-Fadley said.

The minister met with Eastern Province’s Emir Saud bin Naif Abdulaziz to discuss plans for improving water quality in the province, as well as water treatment in King Fahd Suburb in Dammam.

Al-Fadley has witnessed the beginning of sewage project in King Fahd Suburb in the Saudi city which will cost about SAR 168 million.

A new treatment plant will be established in Western of Dammam, he concluded.
