Riyadh - Mubasher: Saudi Arabia’s merchandise exports surged 12% to SAR64.37 billion in September 2017, compared to SAR57.46 billion in the same period last year, the General Authority for Statistics reported showed on Monday.
Saudi merchandise exports, which include oil and non-oil exports, declined 4.4% or SAR2.96 billion in September 2017, compared to the previous month, the report said.
Oil exports increased 16.4% to SAR51.12 billion in September 2017 from SAR43.92 billion in the same period last year, the report showed, whereas non-oil exports fell 2.1% to SAR13.25 billion in the same period from SAR13.54 billion in the previous year.
Saudi imports dropped 9.8% to SAR31.5 billion in September 2017, down from SAR34.9 billion in the same month last year, tumbling 17.2% or SAR6.6 billion versus August 2017.
