Saudi STC to unveil 10 innovative digital projects at GITEX Dubai 2019

Riyadh – Mubasher: Saudi Telecom Co (STC), a leading Saudi Arabia-based telecommunications company, announced it will showcase ten innovative digital platform projects created by Saudi youth at the GITEX Technology Week 2019 in Dubai.

STC has supported these projects through its InspireU incubator in the field of digital payments, technology, economics, education, health, and sports, including Solfa platform that enables users to borrow small amounts of up to SAR 5,000 within just 15 minutes, according to a press release.

Mohammad bin Rashid Abalkhail, STC’s director-general of corporate communications, highlighted that the GITEX showcases future digital services and solutions this year which aim at improving the lives of individuals and institutions.

Abalkhail also noted that that STC plays a key role in the digital transformation in the digital transformation in Saudi Arabia in accordance with the kingdom’s Vision 2030 not only as a telecommunications company but also as a digital enabler.

Saudi entrepreneurs, including both men and women, have achieved successful stories through the support, training, and relationship building provided to them by STC through InspireU incubator, he said.

Abalkhail also expected that STC will sign several agreements with major international companies as part of its participation in the GITEX.

It is worth noting that the 39th edition of GITEX Technology Week 2019 is taking place from 6 to 10 October 2019 at the Dubai World Trade Center.
