Saudi Shura Council to discuss land tax Tuesday

Riyadh-Mubasher: Saudi Arabia’s Shura Council will convene a meeting on Tuesday to discuss imposing a tax on undeveloped land, Al-Riyadh newspaper reported.

The housing minister earlier said earlier the Cabinet had submitted a proposal to the council to impose a fee of no more than SAR 100 ($26.67) per square metre on undeveloped land.

The council will vote before the end of the 30-day grace period offered by the Cabinet to the council to complete the relevant study.
