Saudi Stocks close 0.24% higher

Riyadh – Mubasher: The main index of Saudi Stock Exchange (Tadawul) closed on Sunday with a  rise of 0.24% or 16.07 points to the level of 6,672 points.

“The index targets resistance levels of 6,730, 76,765 and 6,875 points in the upcoming sessions,” markets analyst, Ali Al-Jafari, told Mubasher.   

The banks and petrochemicals sectors closed in green, while the telecom and real estate development ended the session in red.

The highest trading value was in the insurance sector as it reached SAR 1.253 billion, with a collective rise by its shares.

The telecom, real estate development, transportation fell by 0.68%, 0.46% and 0.06% respectively, while the insurance advanced 1.82% and the energy rose 1.64%.

Salama Cooperative Insurance and Saudi Arabian Cooperative Insurance topped gainers by adding 9.98% and 9.87% respectively, while National Commercial Bank and Samba Financial Group led decliners after falling 1.53% and 1.5% respectively.

Turnover rose 8.24% to SAR 6.04 billion from 5.58 billion on Thursday. Trading volume also increased to 318.67 million shares from 317 million shares.
