Riyadh – Mubasher: Water & Electricity Company’s (WEC) board of directors approved issuing the document for inviting the private sector firms to bid for Rabigh 3 Independent Water Project (IWP).
This project is part of the Saudi Vision 2030, and boosts the private sector's contribution to the kingdom's development, according to WEC’s statement.
The new plant will serve Makkah through providing 600,000 cubic metres upon completion.
The plant will be operated by reverse osmosis (RO) technology, which consumes less energy.
