Riyadh-Mubasher: Four Saudi cement companies plan to carry out new projects across the kingdom at a total value of SAR 3 billion in 2016, OKAZ newspaper reported.
Southern Province Cement will establish the second production line at Bishah plant, with an annual production capacity of 1.5 million tonnes of clinker.
Umm Al-Qura Cement will also build a Portland cement plant, with a production capacity of 2 million tonnes of clinker, at a total value of SAR 1.3 billion.
Eastern Cement will establish a new mill producing 1.1 million tonnes annually, while Tabuk Cement will build the second clinker production line, with a capacity of 1.6 million tonnes.
The kingdom had banned cement exports after prices jumped by 50%, to meet the strong growth in demand.
