Riyadh- Mubasher: Saudi cement companies’ sales fell 26% year-on-year to 3.5 million tonnes in June 2016 from 4.7 million tonnes, according to Yamama Saudi Cement Co.’s monthly report.
Total production of cement companies also retreated 25% in June to 3.66 million tonnes from 4.88 million tonnes in the same month of the previous year.
Saudi Cement Co. achieved the highest sales in June with 596,000 tonnes, down 1.32% from 604,000 tonnes in June 2015.
Southern Province Cement came in second place decreasing 23.76% to 491,000 tonnes in last month, from 644,000 tonnes in June of last year.
Inventories were marginally down 3.4% to reach 1.05 million tonnes in June from 1.08 million tonnes in the same period of the last year.
