Riyadh – Mubasher: The cement producing companies operating in Saudi Arabia had witnessed a decline of 24.7% in sales in December 2016.
The cement companies sold 4.37 million tons of cement in December down from 5.72 million tons for the same month a year earlier.
The companies’ production also decreased by 22.84% in December reaching 4.41 million tons compared with 5.72 million tons for the same month of 2015.
In respect to inventory, the country’s cement inventory increased to 1.14 million tons in December up 28% y-o-y from 888,000 tons in December 2015.
Yanbu Cement topped the cement sales in December as it registered sales volume of 746 tons up 13% y-o-y from 660,000 in December 2015.
