Riyadh-Mubasher: Saudi cement sales increased by 6% in November to 5.3 million tonnes, compared with 5 million tonnes in the same month of 2014.
10 out of 15 companies posted rise in sales, topped by City Cement with a 45% leap, followed by Northern Cement and Al Jouf Cement with 34% and 31%, respectively.
Southern Cement captured 14% of the total sales in November.
Production of local cement companies increased by 7% to 5.3 million tonnes in November, led by Al Jouf cement with 52% to 186,000 tonnes.
Total cement sales increased by 8% or 55.6 million tonnes during the first 11 months of 2015, compared with the same period of 2014.
