Riyadh – Mubasher: Consumer spending in Saudi Arabia rose by 4.6%, or SAR 45.33 billion, year-on-year in 2019, according to data from the Saudi Arabian Monetary Authority (SAMA).
Last year, Saudi consumer spending recorded SAR 1.026 trillion, compared with SAR 980.63 billion in the year-ago period.
The value of point of sales (POS) sales operations grew by 22.8% YoY to SAR 285.32 billion in 2019.
Moreover, cash withdrawals declined to SAR 740.6 billion in 2019, against SAR 748.33 billion a year earlier.
