Riyadh – Mubasher: Saudi Arabia’s crude oil output continued to rise during August 2020 on a monthly basis.
The kingdom’s output surged by 475,000 barrels per day (b/d) last month, up 5.6% month-on-month (MoM), according to official data.
Total Saudi crude output reached 8.892 million b/d in August, compared with 8.417 million b/d in July.
Production of OPEC member countries increased by 763,000 b/d MoM in August, of which Saudi accounted for 62.25%.
Total OPEC output registered 24.045 million b/d in August, compared to 23.283 million b/d a month earlier.
Meanwhile, four OPEC member states witnessed a drop in output, topped by Iraq with 100,000 b/d, Congo with 8,000 b/d, Gabon with 5,000 b/d, and Libya with 2,000 b/d.
