Riyadh-Mubasher: Saudi Arabia's electronic trade reached nearly $2.7 billion this year, and the UAE recorded $5.1 billion, Al-Riyadh newspaper reported, citing Maher Gamal, head of Makkah Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
The global e-trade is estimated at $994.5 billion, and is likely to rise to around $1506 billion by 2018, Gamal said.
He added that the partnership with Dubai Chamber through Alibaba platform confirms Makkah Chamber's strong belief in the importance of future planning, especially as Dubai achieved breakthroughs in the international and GCC business sector.
