Riyadh – Mubasher: The Saudi economy remains solid and resilient against the new coronavirus (COVID-19) crisis, despite the need to rationalize public spending, said the Saudi Minister of Finance and acting Minister of Economy and Planning, Mohammed Al Jadaan.
The Saudi government puts the health and safety of its citizens atop of its priorities in dealing with the pandemic, with prompt decisions and initiatives aiming that aim to protect the economy and support the private sector, the minister was cited as saying by state-run Saudi Press Agency (SPA) reported.
Al Jadaan indicated that the kingdom’s economy is prepared to deal with a decline in revenues and a rise in the budget deficit.
